AHEPA Sunday is always observed on the third Sunday of May in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
This year, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America proclaimed May 21, as “AHEPA Sunday,” and for that, we are sincerely appreciative.
AHEPA Sunday is an opportunity to raise awareness about AHEPA’s storied history, our worthy mission, and the vital programs we provide that help to strengthen our communities and society at-large.
How did your chapter commemorate AHEPA Sunday?

For example, Ahepans of James Whitcomb Riley Chapter 232, Indianapolis (top right), held a memorial service for departed brothers and presented three scholastic medals for academic excellence to students of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Greek School.
Ahepans of Washington Heights, N.Y., also held a memorial service.
While Ahepans of Chester-Delco Chapter 79, Media, Pa., (bottom right) presented seven scholarship awards, totaling $14,000, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. The parish also held an Artoklasia for the Ahepans.

Share with us your AHEPA Sunday success story! We want to know! Send us your stories and pictures at ahepasocial@gmail.com to be featured in next week’s e-news!
