The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York held its Greek Independence Day Gala, June 4, 2022.

The Federation honored AHEPA for its centennial anniversary. In addition, the Federation recognized AHEPA, represented by Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas, as an Honorary Grand Marshal.

Kokotas called up Daughters of Penelope Grand President Kathy Bizoukas, Chairman of the Board Nicholas Karacostas, PSP; Supreme Secretary Savas Tsivicos, and Board Vice Chair George Horiates, PSP; to accept the recognition with him.

Kokotas conveyed AHEPA’s appreciation for the honor and congratulated the Federation for its efforts.

The Federation has coordinated the Greek American parade and events since 1938.
