Airport to Hotel/Points West to Hotel

“Well done is Better Than Well Said”

The most efficient way to travel between Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Suburban Station in Center City is by taking the SEPTA Airport Regional Rail Line. Trains depart every 30 minutes daily from 5:00 a.m. to midnight, taking 20 to 25 minutes to reach Suburban Station, and cost about $8 if purchased via the kiosk or from the conductor.

Follow the airport signs to the train platform located just outside Terminals A, B, C, D, and E/F. Board any train heading to Center City and exit at Suburban Station (16th St. and John F. Kennedy Blvd).

Walking from Suburban Station to the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown is a quick, direct 6-minute walk covering about 0.3 miles.

Walking Directions

  1. Exit the station onto John F. Kennedy Blvd.
  2. Head west on JFK Blvd toward N 17th St.
  3. Turn right (north) onto N 17th St.
  4. Walk straight for 3 blocks, crossing Arch St and Cherry St.
  5. The hotel entrance at Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown will be on your right, just past Race Street.

From North and South

“Lost Time Is Never Found Again”

Amtrak Northeast Regional or Acela: These trains offer direct service into 30th Street Station from major hubs like New York Penn Station and Newark Penn Station. Travel time is roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes, with tickets ranging from $20 to $55 depending on how far you book in advance.

NJ Transit + SEPTA: For a budget-friendly route, take the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line to Trenton Transit Center. From there, transfer to the SEPTA Trenton Line Regional Rail, which drops you directly into Center City at Suburban Station or Jefferson Station.

Amtrak from the South: DC and points South can take the Amtrak Northeast Regional directly into 30th Street Station.

From 30th Street Station, almost every Regional Rail train stopping on the upper-level tracks at 30th Street goes directly to Suburban Station next.
