Last night, our Supreme Convention continued with a one-of-a-kind event hosted by the Deputy Minister of Tourism in the historical Zouchouri Complex Square in Old Town Larnaca. Over 500 convention attendees were present at the event that included dancing, an abundance of food, and most importantly, kefi!
After welcoming AHEPA Family members to the event, Supreme President Tsivicos introduced the evening’s special guests and awards recipients before making special presentations on behalf of the Order.
Mayor of Larnaca, Andreas Vyras, was presented with the 2024 AHEPA Public Service award, and the AHEPA Pericles Award was presented to Kostas Koumis, Deputy Minister of Tourism; Photis Photiou, Past Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Cypriots; Former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus; Former Minister of Agriculture; and Annita Demetriou, the President of the Cypriot House of Representatives.
The Supreme Convention is indeed in full swing, and will continue for the rest of the week! Special thanks to the Cyprus Ministry of Tourism for everything they have done to help accommodate the AHEPA Family as we celebrate our 102nd anniversary!
