AHEPA Supreme President George G. Horiates Speaks at Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Greek Bicentennial Celebration

On March 25, 2021, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America held its Greek Bicentennial celebration at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York. Led by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America following the Greek Independence Day doxology, the event was broadcast live throughout the globe. AHEPA Supreme President George G Horiates was an honored speaker at the event.

The Master of Ceremonies was George Stephanopoulos. Special video presentations were made by United States President Joe Biden, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades along with many others including Dr. Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer. Others included US Senate Majority leader Charles E Shumer, members of Congress Dina Titus and Hellenic caucus co-chair Gus Bilirakis. In person remarks were by AHEPA Supreme President Horiates, John Catsimatidis VP of the Archdiocesan Council and, of course, the Archierarchal message of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America. AHEPA shares this link to the event as a service to the public and congratulates the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America for an outstanding and memorable event.
