Washington— George Vorkas, Chairman of the AHEPA Educational Foundation announced today that the Foundation has agreed to establish the Zavaras-Angelidou Scholarship for Greek Studies.
“We are proud to announce that Dr. Katerina A. Zavaras-Angelidou MD, has agreed to establish the Zavaras-Angelidou Scholarship for Greek Studies. The gift will be added to the value of the AHEPA Educational Foundation portfolio and assist a student on an annual basis to full fill their dream in their field of study. The AHEPA Educational Foundation prides itself on promoting our youth through support of their educational endeavors” stated Chairman Vorkas.
On a call with Brother Vorkas, AHEPA Supreme President, Savas C. Tsivicos, said “we are very proud that the AHEPA Educational Foundation was able to secure this gift and we look forward to it growing in the years to come”. The Supreme President thanked all of the brothers involved in securing this and wants to focus our members’ attention on the value of donating to the AHEPA Educational Foundation.
Since 1959 the Order of AHEPA has raised millions of dollars in scholarship funds. These funds are invested and managed by the AHEPA Board of Trustees and the interest generated is used to fund the AEF’s annual National Scholarship Program.
