The Honorable Kimberly Guilfoyle

United States Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic Embassy of the United States of America

Athens, Greece

Dear Ambassador Guilfoyle:

On behalf of the Order of AHEPA, it is my distinct honor to extend heartfelt congratulations on your confirmation by the United States Senate as the next U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic. We commend you on this prestigious appointment and look forward to your leadership in strengthening the enduring friendship between the United States and Greece.

Founded in 1922, AHEPA proudly celebrates over 103 years of service as the largest and oldest grassroots organization of American citizens of Greek heritage and philhellenes. Since its inception, we have dedicated ourselves to strengthening the bond between the United States and Greece through civic responsibility, educational efforts, philanthropy, and public service. Over the years, our organization has worked diligently to foster closer cooperation between our two nations and promote shared democratic values, security, and prosperity. Among our many initiatives, AHEPA sponsored and dedicated the Truman Statue in Athens, honoring the Truman Plan that helped Greece recover after the war; and we dedicated the George C. Marshall Statue, which proudly stands on the grounds of the U.S. Embassy in Athens. Furthermore, AHEPA was a leading advocate in securing Greece’s inclusion in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, a milestone achievement that strengthened people-to-people connections and encouraged increased cultural and economic exchanges. AHEPA has provided humanitarian and public health assistance to the Greek people, especially during times of crisis, reinforcing the deep bonds of solidarity and support that define our shared history.

We are confident that your tenure as Ambassador will continue to strengthen this legacy of partnership. Greece remains a vital ally of the United States, both strategically and culturally, and we believe that under your leadership, the U.S.–Greece relationship will reach even greater heights. The Order of AHEPA looks forward to supporting your efforts whenever possible, just as we have consistently done with your respected predecessors, and we eagerly anticipate visiting you in Athens this November.

Please accept our warmest congratulations once again. We wish you all the best as you start this important assignment and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to working with you to strengthen U.S.–Greece relations.

Respectfully

E. Chris Kaitson

Supreme President
