On the 24th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, we pause to remember all who perished, including the 39 Greek Americans among them. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we keep their families in our hearts and prayers. May their memories be eternal.

In moments of great tragedy, we are reminded of the extraordinary courage shown by so many—first responders and everyday civilians alike—who acted with selflessness and bravery that day. Their heroism continues to inspire us.

We also reflect on the resurrection of the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at the World Trade Center, rebuilt as a lasting symbol of peace, faith, and hope. The AHEPA family is proud to have supported this historic effort, ensuring that the Shrine will serve as a place of reflection for all.

Today is also observed as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. We encourage everyone to honor the memory of those we lost by engaging in acts of service that strengthen and uplift our communities. Through volunteerism and service, we carry forward a legacy of resilience, compassion, and unity in remembrance of September 11th.
