AHEPA leadership joined distinguished guests and faithful from across the country in New York this past weekend for the annual Archon Weekend, a time-honored gathering recognizing service to the Church and Hellenism.

The delegation, led by Supreme President Chris Kaitson, attended the Archon Banquet hosted by the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America. The event brought together prominent religious and civic leaders to celebrate individuals whose work exemplifies faith, leadership, and advocacy for religious freedom.
This year’s Athenagoras Human Rights Award was presented to former U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, honored for his efforts to promote global religious liberty. Supreme President Kaitson and Daughters of Penelope Grand President Antoinette Marousis-Zachariades took the opportunity to share with Secretary Pompeo the extensive humanitarian and community service work of AHEPA and its affiliated organizations worldwide.
The AHEPA delegation included Past Supreme Presidents Nick Karacostas, George Horiates, Carl Hollister, Andy Zachariades, Savas Tsivicos, and Jimmy Kokotas, as well as Supreme Secretary Themistocles Frangos and Supreme Counselor Theodore Stamas.

In addition to the formal banquet, AHEPA representatives also attended the annual Nicholas J. Bouras Dinner, held in honor of Brother Alex Pritsos, a longtime Ahepan and former Sons of Pericles advisor who currently serves as Sergeant-at-Arms for the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The evening was a joyful celebration of fellowship and service, attended by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, Supreme President Kaitson, Grand President Marousis-Zachariades, and Past Supreme President Savas Tsivicos.
AHEPA proudly extends congratulations to all those recognized over the weekend for their devotion to faith, community, and the preservation of Hellenic ideals.
