Orlando, FL – During the final days of the AHEPA 103rd Supreme Convention, and in one of his final acts as Supreme President, Savas C. Tsivicos stated, “We are devastated at the sights of the wildfires which have enveloped Cyprus. We are in communication with the AHEPA Chapters in Cyprus as well as the government, and we are coordinating efforts to assist our members, their families, and the people of Cyprus.” In speaking with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, the Supreme President pledged any assistance AHEPA could provide.
Working with Supreme President Savas Tsivicos, Supreme President-elect E. Chris Kaitson echoed the sentiments of Supreme President Tsivicos by stating, “As always, AHEPA will ask its chapters and members to donate to the AHEPA Emergency Relief fund in an effort to send assistance to those in need.”
Supreme President Tsivicos served the Order of AHEPA for two years and is now finishing his term in Orlando, Florida, at the AHEPA Supreme Convention. “As this will be the last announcement I can make as Supreme President, I am asking every chapter, every member, to donate something to assist my home country of Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite, the place we celebrated our Supreme Convention last year, to donate to the AHEPA Emergency fund today.”
The Supreme President is elected annually at the AHEPA Supreme Convention and is limited to serving two terms. The election of the new Supreme Lodge occurred on July 24, 2025, only hours before this statement was made. Donations can be made online directly at the AHEPA website.
