Supreme President Savas C. Tsivicos and AHEPA family members arrived in Israel this week to meet with the Ambassador of Greece in Israel, Maria Solomou.

There, the Supreme President discussed his previous meeting of numerous U.S. Congress members with Greek Government Officials at the Acropolis Museum, where an at-capacity crowd heard of the ongoing relationship between the United States and Greece.

The next day, an IDF spokesman hosted the group in Tel Aviv, where they were shown videos and documentation of the October 7 Hamas attacks in the West Bank. The group was moved by the presentation, with the Supreme President declaring his hope for a resolution to release the hostages as quickly as possible.

Later that evening, the Supreme President hosted a dinner with four members of the JISS – The Jerusalem Institute of Strategy and Stability. The group discussed how to bring about peace in the region together, proposing numerous possible conflict-resolution scenarios.

Today, the Supreme President and company visited the Patriarch of Jerusalem, discussing the challenges of the church, and after a productive conversation, went to the Jerusalem Foreign Ministry where they received another briefing on the region.

Following the meeting, the group met with a high-level member of the Israeli National Security Council, and tonight the Supreme President will attend a holocaust memorial event hosted by Prime Minister Netanyahu.
