The AHEPA Journey to Greece class of 2025 started last week with a two-day excursion to Delphi and Ancient Olympia. Thankfully the weather wasn’t too hot and the students were able to enjoy the time spent exploring the sites and museums of Delphi and Ancient Olympia, where they learned about the significance of each location. This was followed by a meal of traditional Greek cuisine that the students enjoyed very much!

During the journey to Ancient Olympia from Delphi, the group stopped in Nafpaktos at the famous Greek bakery, Kondilis, where students were able to try various Greek sweets. Once they arrived at the hotel in Ancient Olympia, they were able to enjoy the pool, a family-style dinner, and parea! After dinner, they had a chance to explore the town of Ancient Olympia and did so again before they departed for Athens, which gave them a chance to continue bonding with one another outside the classroom.

The group journeyed to Cape Sounio on Wednesday evening to enjoy the famous sunset view at the Temple of Poseidon. They had a chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the coast and learn about the history of the relics.
On Thursday, the Rally Acropolis started in Athens and took place in the nearby Zappeio park. The students were informed of the events around the Rally and were able to attend the races. The weather started to get hot towards the end of the week and today, on their free day, several students decided to travel to the nearby island of Agistri.
The students are currently on a three day trip to the Cycladic island of Naxos before they head back to Athens for another busy week!
