Supreme President Savas C. Tsivicos joined over 250 members of the AHEPA Family and guests at the 100th anniversary celebration of AHEPA Milwaukee Chapter 43 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The home Chapter of AHEPA Past Supreme President John W. Galanis, Chapter 43 was established on March 17, 1924 and is renowned in the AHEPA domain for having one of the most successful scholarship programs in existence. Over the past 65 years, the AHEPA Milwaukee Scholarship program has awarded over $750,000 to well deserving high school seniors and other recipients while remaining fiscally responsible to ensure it can continue for another 65 years.
The centennial celebration was held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Cultural Center in Wauwatosa, WI. The church itself was designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, making it a historic destination in Wisconsin. There was dinner and dancing featuring the Hellenic 5 Orchestra as well. The Supreme President, accompanied by Supreme Vice President Chris Kaitson and Supreme Treasurer Themistocles Frangos, presented the Chapter with a proclamation honoring their 100 years and presented individual members with awards for their service to the Order. Congratulations Brothers!
