Pensacola Ahepans Presented with AHEPA Presidential Service Medals for Volunteerism

This Veteran’s Day, Mr. George “Doc” Dodge and Mr. Joe O’Neil received  AHEPA Presidential Service Medals for Volunteerism. The medals, authorized by the White House, are granted to Veterans who exemplify and have served the Orders’ mission for decades. Both honorees are members of the Pensacola Chapter 296 and are Past Chapter Presidents.

The Veterans Day Ceremony, set to take place at the Veterans Memorial Park of Pensacola, moved indoors due to rain, however, their spirits were still high, and the ceremony still a success. “We are so proud of our Pensacola Chapter for their decades-long service to the community and especially for their devotion and support of the annual Veterans Day Parade,” said Supreme President Savas Tsivicos. Attending this special occasion and at the two honoree’s sides were Supreme Vice President Chris Kaitson, Supreme Treasurer Themistocles Frangos, District 1 Governor Dale Greenstein, and Region 1 Governor Steven Nickolson.
