On May 8, AHEPA Supreme President Savas C. Tsivicos was recognized by the Hellenic Red Cross during a moving ceremony at the historic Zappeion Megaron in Athens, commemorating World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. The award, one of the organization’s highest distinctions, was presented in honor of AHEPA’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service and civic engagement.

President Tsivicos accepted the distinction with deep humility, dedicating it to the countless volunteers whose tireless efforts uplift communities every day. “Together, we build a better society,” he remarked, affirming AHEPA’s shared values with the Red Cross.

Members of the AHEPA family in attendance—including representatives of Chapter HJ-10 Pericles—expressed pride in standing alongside fellow advocates of philanthropy, Hellenism, and public service.
