The AHEPA Families of District 20 and District 23 convened for their annual District Conventions over the past two weeks, celebrating their long and impressive histories of Hellenism, fraternity and community. Both districts took this opportunity to express their gratitude to their members, giving awards, scholarships and memories to all those deserving individuals.
Attending both historical events, Supreme Vice President E. Chris Kaitson congratulated the districts on their successful years and events, thanking them for both their hospitality and unwavering support of their communities.


The Supreme Vice President was joined first at the District 23 Convention in Hamilton, Ontario over Memorial Day Weekend by AHEPA District 23 Governor Nick Pantieras, DOP Grand President Margaret Dritsas, DOP Grand Governor Xanthe Vafopoulou, SOP Supreme Treasurer Andreas Koloniaris, MOA Grand Secretary Cristina Saavedra-Mamounis, MOA Grand Treasurer Falia Pantieras, and multiple District and Chapter officers. During his visitation, he presented awards to Brothers James Hutchison, Nicholas T. Zacharidis, and Sam Maginas and extended his congratulations to all newly elected officers of the Beaver District.

Across the country in Woodland Hills, California, Supreme Vice President Kaitson attended the District 20 Convention over the weekend of May 30th. The convention was hosted by San Fernando Valley AHEPA Chapter 412 and brought members from throughout the El Camino Real District to Woodland Hills to celebrate the District’s accomplishments. Joining the Supreme Vice President were Supreme Governor of Region 8 George Zioulas, District 20 Governor James Dedakes, DOP Grand Governor Linda Belba, DOP District Governor Sofie Batshoun, as well as multiple Past Supreme, Grand and District Governors of both the AHEPA and Daughters of Penelope.
The Supreme Vice President presented multiple awards during his visitation, and had the honor of attending the District’s scholarship awards luncheon as well. A special congratulations to AHEPA Past District 20 Governor, Pete Marudas, who was awarded District 20’s Periclean Award.
