On Tuesday this week, Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee ceremonially signed into law the creation of official AHEPA Greek Heritage License Plates. State Senator Leonidas P. Raptakis and Representative Joseph M. McNamara introduced the bill to the Rhode Island General Assembly in March, where it officially passed in June and came to fruition just this week. Past Supreme President Dr. John Grossomanides celebrated the occasion alongside the Governor, as well as an impressive crowd of Sophocles Chapter 106 brothers and other Rhode Island Ahepans.
