On Monday, February 10, AHEPA Global Headquarters had the pleasure of hosting the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, a division of the Hellenic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy Maira Myrogianni was received by AHEPA Executive Director Basil Mossaidis in his office in Washington, DC. The Secretary General and Mossaidis spoke about the upcoming visitation schedule of Supreme President Tsivicos and his plans while abroad. Secretary General Myrogianni was appreciative for the informational exchange and graciously volunteered to assist in scheduling any government meetings for the Supreme President.

Executive Director Mossaidis presented the Secretary General with a small gift on behalf of Supreme President Tsivicos. The gift, a special commemorative 100 year anniversary coin, minted in Greece by the National Bank of Greece, was genuinely appreciated by Secretary General Myrogiannis. She stated that they were “very pleased to be able to work with AHEPA and the Chapters across the AHEPA domain,” and Executive Director Mossaidis conveyed that we looked forward to working together with the Foreign Ministry in the future.
