Members of the AHEPA Supreme Lodge, DOP Grand Lodge, MOA Grand Lodge, and AHEPA Family were present in Tarpon Springs, Florida this weekend to take part in the annual Epiphany celebration. In collaboration with St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and AHEPA Epiphany City Chapter 16, visiting AHEPA Family members and guests were able to experience all that Tarpon Springs had to offer.
The festivities began on January 3rd with a welcome dinner hosted by Epiphany City Chapter 16 at the AHEPA House. The event was attended by over 150 guests who were treated to a lavish buffet in preparation for the weekend’s celebrations. The Supreme President addressed those in attendance and thanked the host chapter for graciously welcoming everyone.
One of the highlights of the weekend by far was the AHEPA District 2 Memory Eternal Epiphany Golf Tournament held on January 4th at Innisbrook Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. 72 Golfers came from all over the District for an 8:30am shotgun start four person scramble golf tournament. Special thanks to Peter Sarris for hosting a buffet breakfast for all the golfers who came to play! That evening, AHEPA Family members attended the Epiphany Ball at the Theophilos Hall at Spanos Pappas St. Nicholas Community Center.
On Sunday, AHEPA hosted the 2025 AHEPA Epiphany Banquet in Safety Harbor, Florida. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros offered remarks and praised AHEPA as a bridge between Hellenic heritage and American values, embodying “progress in life, faith, and spiritual understanding.” Also in attendance were Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta, newly appointed Secretary General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad H.E. Maira Myrogianni, Daughters of Penelope Grand President Margaret Dritsas, Maids of Athena Grand President Stephanie Owens, and many other dignitaries.
Supreme President Tsivicos honored AHEPA Past Supreme Presidents Nicholas A. Karacostas and George G. Horiates with the AHEPA Heroes Medal during his remarks to thank them for their unwavering support and service to the Order of AHEPA that has continued throughout the years.
The weekend’s events concluded on Monday with the blessing of the waters at the Spring Bayou and the annual dive for the cross. A heartfelt congratulations to Luc Boillot, the young man who retrieved this year’s cross!
Lastly, Supreme President Tsivicos, along with AHEPA Canada President Emmanuel Constas, DOP President Margaret Dritsas, AHEPA Foundation Chairman Nicholas A. Karacostas, PSP and Vice Chairman George G. Horiates, PSP met with newly appointed Secretary General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad H.E. Maira Myrogianni. They had the opportunity to discuss many issues affecting Hellenes of the diaspora and officially welcomed her to the AHEPA family as a new member of the Daughters of Penelope!
