Supreme President Savas C. Tsivicos embarked on an amazing 3-day tour of our AHEPA European District 28 Chapters in Germany with participation in the Oxi Day anniversary at St. George Cathedral in Munich. Together with the local association of other Greek organizations, they commemorated the Arkadi Monastery holocaust, a heroic sacrifice during the Cretan revolution against the Ottomans in 1866.
On Saturday, following a visit to the historic Nuremberg Court, AHEPA welcomed new members to our dynamic local Chapter, Melanchthon Chapter 629, whereas on Friday the Supreme President witnessed the huge success of another event on Bavarian philellenism organized by our Munich Chapter AHEPA München – “Friedrich von Thiersch Chapter 618. Supreme President Tsivicos was joined by AHEPA Canada President Emmanuel Constas and Supreme Governor of Region 10, Kostas Varsamis on this leg of the tour.
The Supreme President thanked D28 Treasurer and Munich Chapter 618 President Christos Kafasis, D28 Director of Philanthropy Alex Makridis, D28 Warden Christos Perperidis, A618 VP Kugiumutzis Manolis, Chapter 629 Nuremberg Chapter President Dimitris Balogiannis, and Secretary Polys Papageorgiou for hosting and organizing such successful events. District 28 Governor Dimosthenis Mammonas thanked the Lt. Governor Giannis Amoutzas from London and D28 Director for Education George Linardakis from Brussels who also assisted this extremely productive tour!!
